It’s been a busy month already for celebrity fragrance announcements, what with Pharrell Williams teaming up with Comme des Garçons. But we were particularly intrigued by the the same avant-garde Japanese fashion house’s new unisex scent ‘SERPENTINE’ for London’s Serpentine Galleries, created in collaboration with artist Tracey Emin.
The perfume has been designed to emulate the fragrance of London’s Hyde Park, which hosts both The Serpentine and newly opened Serpentine Sackler Gallery. And as for Emin’s part? She has designed both the bottle and box, which she created during the summer of her 50th birthday (spent in France); her drawings depicting a lovers’ embrace.
Available from April 28th at the Serpentine Galleries, Dover Street Market London and New York, the collaboration smells like a fast success to us.
